COMBINE is a 501c4 non-profit trade association and a registered nonpartisan non-profit Colorado Small Donor Political Committee. Dues are contributed to the 501c4 and the first $50 of dues are contributed to the Small Donor Committee. Small Donor Committees may not accept more than $50 per year from natural persons as contributions, contribute to legislators during the general assembly session.
COMBINE will never sell, trade, or disclose membership information, including name, email, address, occupation, or employer, except as required by political committee rules.
Dues are $99 per year, click here to join. Dues support lobbying expense and administrative expenses. COMBINE operates all-volunteer except for contracted lobbyists. Dues and donations are not business tax deductions as COMBINE participates in lobbying.
Lobbying fees can run from $10,000 to $36,000 for the legislative session, depending on how active the lobby is with our concerns. Generally higher costs are associated with moving a bill that we author, while lower costs cover monitoring, attending relevant hearings, and influencing bills through the amendment process.
Membership includes access to our active members email list, where concerns are discussed. Over 150 highly trained clinicians and clinic directors are subscribed to this list, where members support each other in our dealings with RAEs, states departments, and commercial insurance companies.
Members may also access our monthly "exclusion checker" service, where staff rosters are compared against the Office of Inspector General (OIG) list, the SAMHSA list, and the Colorado exclusion list. This is a required administrative task for clinics that provide supervised services for Medicaid.
